Decided to tag along on a trip to Windsor and play some live cash games. Well I sat down at a $1/$2 table with the max $200 and had some key pots to my success. First key hand was 9h,10h in late position and calling a $7 bet going 4 way to the flop. Flop was 3,8,J rainbow. Early position player bets out $15 and both other players before me call so this is a standard call for me in my position. Turn comes the all great 7, and the early position better fires out $35 and gets one caller and one guy to fold. Now the action is on me and I make a raise to $85 total. Early position player calls and other guy folds. River comes an Ace and the early position player bets out $50 and I think for a while and with only around $100 total in my stack, I shove all my chips in the pot and he tanks and goes on about how lucky I was on the river and he folds his hand. Second big hand that I had was K,10 in the BB with 3-4 other players in the pot, I had to through in an extra $3 to call the $5 raise. Flop comes down A,Q,J(rainbow) and 2 very aggressive players in this hand. I lead out for $10 and get a raise to $30 with another caller and then I just smooth call the extra $20 since I am not worried about the flush. A 4 comes out on the turn and I bet $40 and get one caller. River comes a blank and I think it out for a while before I decide on $95. I eventually get a call and show my cards as his go flying into the muck.
Overall not a bad session for just under 5 hours I ended up cashing out for $678.

Cash Game Score.
So last night I decided to sit at .50c/$1, 6 max and play two tables. I had a bad start by losing a $175 pot on a set over set hand. At this point in time I decided to just play one table. On the this table everything went my way for the next few hours. I had A,A all-in against Q,Q pre flop, I also had A,K against A,9 on a A,K,9 board for all his chips and finally had K,K run up against some ones A,K who decided to put it all in on a Kxx board. For a little under 3 hours I was able to run my $100 at this table to just over $800. This was a break even week up until this time. Nice way to finish the week off.

Grinding Away.
I have found it difficult to play much online due to the nice weather. But I have been grinding away at the cash tables 6-max .25/.50 up to $1/$2. Things have been going alright with poker and hence giving me the opportunity to get that new BBQ that I have had my eye on. New goal that was set for me is to be playing positive EV hours of poker instead of just putting in time due to the fact that I think I should be. Have not been putting in any volume in regards to Sit & Go's for the sole fact that I feel that there is more money to be made in the cash games.

180 MTT SNG.
I decided to play in a 180 person SNG today and had a strong finish, coming in 2nd place. This was a good way to increase my ROI in SNGs in a very short period of time. Well back to grinding it out.

New Year.
It is a new year and some new goals need to be made. I will be grinding away at the SNGs and increasing the number of games per month by 5% for 2008. In my spare time I will be experimenting some more with cash games and trying to move up in stakes. Bottom line for 2008 is Volume, Volume, Volume for SNGs.
